South Node is something that we came from, it can never be (and shouldn’t be) erased. Our mission in life is to overcome everything that holds us back related to our cosmic origin and to move towards this life’s mission - our North Node. No matter whether you believe in past lives or not, South Node is something we were born with and the sign and degree it’s in somehow seem ‘familiar’ to us, especially the ‘bad habits’ which can sometimes hold the native back. South and North node are opposite each other and they are supposed to create a balance in our life.
North Node can be seen as the soul’s greatest potential in this lifetime. You can not realise your greatest potential unless you work with the energy of your South Node, that’s why South Node represents ‘the lessons learned’ and North Node ‘the lesson we are born to master’. Like every other placement in our chart, NN and SN are subjected to free will and choice - it’s upon us how we deal with them.
It’s very important to stress that we rarely become fully aware of our North Node’s full potential before our mid-thirties, and even then, it’s just a beginning. If you have personal planets aspecting your Nodes, you’ll probably feel them differently in a way that energies will mix and those planets would be brought up to surface.
I will start with North Node in Leo, for two reasons: firstly, it’s my North Node placement and I only started being aware of it as of recently and secondly, it’s where the North Node is currently positioned.
NORTH NODE IN LEO - SOUTH NODE IN AQUARIUS (also if your NN is in 5th house, SN in 11th house)
There is a recurring theme of ‘feeling alive’ and creating a spotlight for yourself if you were born with NN in Leo. When I think of this placement, the first thing that pops to my mind is Robbie Williams’ song ‘Let me entertain you’. Whether you naturally enjoy the stage (in any possible form) or not, that potential lives in you. The first part of your life can be hidden behind the scenes, blending in the crowd, observing and generally being extremely hesitant to put yourself into any kind of spotlight. You may feel naturally that it’s your actual job to ‘take one for the team’ and that your happiness means nothing if doesn’t create a condition for the happiness of others/society in general. Born with ability to get detached, observe and offer intellectual explanations, native can even feel guilty if the feelings of pride, self-satisfaction and general enjoyment in their achievements and appearance arise. On the positive side, you were able to see the ‘bigger picture’ since you were very young and not take things personally, knowing that the world doesn’t revolve around you. These people usually have some chill vibe around them, even if there is a storm brewing inside, because they don’t really like drama.
Natives with South Node in Aquarius know they’re different, but it doesn’t make them feel special. In some undeveloped cases, it may even become a burden, because of their deeply rooted belief that being different means standing out and standing out means being stared at and that’s not something they’re comfortable with naturally. They have a lot of friends, acquaintances, wide web of contacts but that constant feeling that nobody really knows them keeps creeping in. Their mind (and lives) can be constantly busy with new ideas, projects and things that would benefit others and the community, but they never really stop to think ‘what about me?’ Even if they do, they can feel guilty, because they are used to trying to ‘make the world a better place’ even on the smallest scale. Which is their soul mission, but in a different way., It’s the task of this life to develop Ego, although it doesn’t mean that natives with NN in Leo are devoid of ego, especially if they have Sun in Leo or in the 5th house as well. People whose Sun is in the 12th house will feel this power struggle more strongly, because their Ego is naturally easily submerged. Developing ego doesn’t mean becoming selfish and mean but using it in order to leave a mark in this world, just like you were born to feel - but now the coin has been flipped, and you have to meet the other side of yourself. The moment you start wondering why other people’s personal (and professional) relationships develop so much easier and have stronger impact on them while you’re constantly left in the shadow, feeling overlooked and excluded from life is the moment when you’ve become aware of your NN in Leo. It wants you to shine and be special. Natives with Leo NN have always had very vivid dreams of future - now it’s time to make them true. Unlike personal planets in Leo, NN doesn’t get attached to glitter, praise and flattering, not even money, since their South Node taught them those lessons before. Instead of just seeing the bigger picture, your soul needs to fit in the bigger picture. Leo NN can be developed by learning that it’s ok to be important, and that it’s your turn, after making everybody else feel special, to feel special yourself. It’s ok to say to everybody ‘Listen, I don’t want to keep taking one for the team, I have worked and learned and developed myself and I AM the best in what I’m doing, so I deserve credits and acknowledgement for my achievements, I don’t want to keep hiding in the background and get occasional pat on the back’. Again, and I can’t stress this enough, all of this is based on work, the real value and effort , not on self-proclaimed ego-trip. It’s not what NN is about. NN in Leo is a highly creative and whatever your form of art is, it’ll surface and you should open up to the world and share. Leo and 5th house are also areas of romance and love and that should be shared in abundance, because your ability to love so generously is going to make a difference in people’s lives. Rationalize less, open and love more openly and with your whole being- it’s your soul’s full potential. Pretty easy to sum up, but damn hard to learn and memorize deeply with your heart and live up to.
This post isn’t about creating sigils but, rather what they are and how to use them to their fullest potential. A Sigil is a symbol, but not just any ordinary symbol. They are sigils that are created with intention, will, and magic. They are vessels that carry your intentions- a means of making them manifest. There are three very distinct views on this matter: Instant, Passive, and Active.I personally believe all are correct. However, one method may be more suitable for certain Sigils than the others.
Please note:
It is very important that, while you are drawing the Sigil, you are present and mindfully putting the right intention into it.
Sigils are activated upon creation but can be further powered using any of the following three methods. If you have a book made specifically for Sigils, (especially if you create or keep Sigils for cursing) be sure to create or draw Sigils on the front and back covers that will cancel the effects of all other sigils within the book.
Instant Sigils:
This method is a One-Shot-Johnny. It is the strongest in terms of manifestation. However, the effects are very short-lived. This method involves destroying the Sigil. Once the Sigil is destroyed its power is at 150% but decreases back to 0% at an exponential rate. Depending on the caster, it could last up to two days. I use this method to amplify my spells and intentions.
Here’s how it works:
Take a Sigil, let’s say one for empowering intentions, and draw it onto a piece of paper. Charge the Sigil. You can do this is sooooooo many ways. ‘pray’ to it, masturbate to it, set crystals on it, leave it in the moonlight, etc. Then, once you have set your spell and have started the ritual, burn the Sigil. You are not limited in how you can destroy the Sigil! You can burn, tear, shred, melt, smudge, or soak them (If drawn in water-based ink). The effects will be manifest immediately.
Passive Sigils:
In this form of Sigilwork, Sigils will only manifest while they aren’t remembered. The moment that they are remembered, they lose their effect, or it becomes very weak.
Here’s how it works:
Take a Sigil, let’s say one for positivity, and draw it on a piece of paper. Then charge the Sigil. Then, place the Sigil in a place which no one will find or see it, not even yourself. The Sigil will really start working its magic once you have entirely forgotten about it.
Active Sigils:
Active sigils are powered by remembering them and feeding them intention.
Here’s how it works:
Take a Sigil, let’s say one for protection from negative energy, and draw it on your skin, a piece of paper, or a miscellaneous object you keep on you. Then you would rub or ‘pray’ to the Sigil whenever you needed it, pouring the intention of protection into it as you did so. This strengthens the Sigil and causes a more direct manifestation at the same time. You can charge these Sigils the same as Passive Sigils.
Sigils in Spellcraft:
As I had mentioned above, I use sigils to amplify my focus or intentions. There are other ways to use them in spells. You could even make a spell entirely from Sigils.
In larger spells, you can create Spell Circles- or incorporate Sigils into Sacred Circles. Below is an example of a Spell Circle.
In the center of the circle is the Sigil that acts as the root for the entire spell. This Sigil is basically like the subject of a sentence. Whereas the symbols on the ring of the circle are the actions.
You can create Spell Circles of your own! Step 1: Draw a circle Step 2: Draw a Sigil inside that circle. Step 3: Write the specified implementation of said Sigil around the perimeter of that circle. The language doesn’t matter- as long as it boosts your headspace. (I created my own language/cipher/cryptograph for my GreyGrimoire so that peering eyes wouldn’t be able to read it.) Step 4: Create the rest of the spell around the Spell Circle. (Whether you’re making a spell bottle, or enchanting and Item or casting a curse. Just gather your materials and build correspondences.) Step 5: Cast that mamma jamma!
I have made a Masterpost about Spell Circles and you can find it HERE.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask me or another blog! Remember, everyone’s craft is different- These are beliefs from my craft. Though, I try to be as respectful as possible to other crafts.

🌠 Taurus Moons may be viewed by friends as having a sort of “renewing energy”, and will be sought out when others are stressed/worried, and wish to think more clearly. Their company is especially desired, whether they realize it or not.
🌠 Moon in 1st natives are ridiculously warm and bubbling with so much sweetness, they help others to feel completely open and comfortable in their presence. Terribly endearing and adorable, they have a smile that brightens up the whole room.
🌠 Sagittarius Venus is wholesomely child-like in their relations, and will stand out in the group for being the most enjoyable to be around. Notorious for their fun sense of humor and how easily they laugh. They tease with underlying affection, and have a heart with so much love to give; it can be difficult to stay mad at these natives for long.

It’s crucial to stress however, they need feedback and to know how they’re affecting you, else they’ll lose interest.
🌠 Pluto in 1st, Moon in 8th, and 8th house stellium natives will be drawn towards Gothic styles/music, psychological thrillers and horror films, and the metaphysical. Openly likes the darker things in life, may experiment with the occult.
the sagittarius pluto generation is quite literally the meme generation and it just makes so much sense. remember how before sag, pluto was in scorpio and those people went through the whole emo phase which was popular and now the teenagers-young adult of the sagittarius pluto are about the memes and the vine references and so on.
In honor of my transiting Uranus square natal Uranus going exact in a few days, let’s have a chat! Most of us on this website are young’ns, so I thought we might go through the major transits that hit everyone in their 20s. I present to you: anatomy of a quarter life crisis
Saturn square Saturn (age 22): Before we hit the Saturn return, we get the waning square. Then past that, around age 25 we get the waning trine. The Saturn cycle is probably the most famous ways to look at phases of an individual’s life. The waning square is the beginning of the conclusion of the Saturn cycle. Waning transits bring with them release, and as a social planet, Saturn deals with our direct interactions with others. In contrast to the waxing square at age 7, where we build up Saturnian energy within ourselves, attending school and focusing Saturn’s hard work and discipline inward, the waning square sees us directing that Saturnian energy outward. Many of us enter the workforce at this age. Most of us pick up new responsibilities here, the cost of living in a society. We begin to reap the benefits of the earlier phases of the Saturn cycle, and we are called upon to apply what we have learned to new challenges. This is the test: did you learn the lessons you were meant to from the rest of the Saturn cycle? What happens during this period sets us up for our Saturn Return, and the next phase of our lives.
Uranus square Uranus (early 20′s): In modern times, you are reasonably likely to live to your Uranus return around age 84. But first, the waxing square! To me, this is the quintessential quarter life crisis transit. Uranus rules the parts of ourselves than are rebellious, innovative, drawn to change for the sake of change. It’s also a society-minded planet, and its natives are interested in making their mark on the world. People going through this waxing square are feeling extra restless and directionless. We’re struggling with the need to break free of traditions that don’t make sense to us, but we aren’t sure what to replace them with. Since this transit is waxing, this energy is building up in the individual. We feel such an intense pull to be different and to find our truth, but we don’t know how to direct that energy. This is usually a time of big changes in a person’s life, and we come out the other side with a better understanding of ourselves and our direction in life.
2nd Jupiter Return (age 24): This transit happens around every 12 years, so it won’t be the first time Jupiter’s completed a cycle in your life. During our first Jupiter Return, we become teenagers, and our lives explode outwards into new experiences, new emotions, new changes. Jupiter transits are often associated with luck and ease, but I think it’s important to remember that Jupiter is indiscriminate in its growth. At this return, we close the book on the previous period of expansion - for most of us, this has been middle school through college (if we attended) and entering the workforce. During the Return, we accept what our investments have brought us. This is when everything comes back around. It’s also when we begin a new cycle of growth. Maybe during this cycle we will start families, travel the world, move up in our careers, buy houses, and create new relationships.
Neptune sextile Neptune (late 20′s): Barring radical developments in medicine, none of us are going to reach a Neptune return. At most, we might make it to the opposition at age 82 but probably nothing major past that. I sort of hesitate to include this one because I tend to associate sextile transits with conscious effort, so we probably won’t see any major life changes related to this transit unless we consciously take advantage of it. This transit functions in the background, making things subtly easier for the native in the realm of understanding and faith. We feel like we are able to tap into our subconscious and confront our dreams and beliefs. We come out of this transit with a stronger harmony between our reality and our perceptions, and with a bit more inner peace.
Saturn Return (age 29): This is the most famous one! Famous for being everyone’s least favorite transit :/ With an orbital period of 29 ½ years, Saturn returns to its position in our natal charts right before we turn 30. The stunning conclusion to our 20′s! This return brings a conclusion to our first cycle of responsibility. We have been shaped and molded and carved by the entire Saturn cycle prior, and we receive the fruits of our labor. The quality of the energy you have put in the entire Saturn cycle thus far determines what you will get out of this Return. Regardless, this is often a difficult time in our lives because we are experiencing a large shift. We are wrapping up one chapter in our lives and opening another. New tasks will appear to us, new trials begin to form, there are new lessons to learn. Many of us will feel overwhelmed at this time, but it’s okay. Saturn knows when it’s doing.
Feeling mired in one or more of these transits? You’re not alone! These transits are rites of passage that everyone must face. Would anyone be interested in more in depth posts on these, with notes on what they mean for each of the houses?
